HUROOF, meaning “letters” in Arabic, is an educational initiative that reimagines how non-native speakers learn Arabic letters. Through artistically crafted flashcards inspired by modern design, HUROOF transforms language learning into a visually engaging experience.

Huroof invites learners on a creative adventure to master Arabic script through the expressive art of calligraphy. With the Huroof flashcards box, students dive into the bold geometric Kufic square style, discovering fresh patterns and styles as they transform their own names, words, and phrases into personalised works of art.

The logo draws inspiration from the legendary circular design of 10th-century Baghdad, seamlessly blending a circle with the Arabic word “Huroof.” To enrich the learning journey, the Huroof app complements the flashcards by offering a dynamic, adaptable environment powered by modern e-learning and artificial intelligence. This revitalised style is now celebrated in the art world, connecting the past with the present and making Arabic script both inviting and accessible for today’s learners.
